Here at Humanosphere, we cover a lot of good causes (and a few not-so-good ones, but let’s not dwell on that).
Let’s dwell on one especially good cause — KPLU and it’s increasingly important role in our community. Increasingly important, you ask? Yes! As the mainstream media continues to shrink in size and scope, local listener-supported public radio becomes even more critical as a news source and lens on our place in the world.
KPLU’s news staff focuses on issues of importance in western Washington, reporting from studios in downtown Seattle.
Humanosphere, part of KPLU’s expansion into online news reporting, is focused on the greater-Seattle region’s leading role in fighting disease and poverty worldwide — making the world a better place.
So help make the world a better place by contributing to KPLU’s semi-annual Fund Drive with a donation today! The largest portion of KPLU’s operating budget comes directly from individuals who donate. Your donation to KPLU is how you can support Humanosphere.
Update 10/5/11: The “Fall Fund Drive” has ended. Thanks to everyone who contributed! But donations are still being counted, and any donation coming via the red “Pledge Now” button is attributed to Humanosphere readers.
